Our tour of Britannia was actually my first real tour experience- and I loved every second of it. Covering so much ground in just ten days was indescribable. Flying to Ireland, ferrying to Wales, busing to Scotland, and travelling by train to London turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and gave me the travel bug like I've never had it before.
What made this trip so neat was how loosely the tour guides and leaders held on to us. While we had schedules to keep and days packed from dawn to dusk with activities and sightseeing, we had ample time to split up and roam these wonderful cities in small groups. We got to learn the streets for ourselves, and explore on our own terms. We could choose the book stores and coffee shops and food venders and street performers that we wanted to take a look at- and we got to learn the ropes for ourselves. I can't describe the feeling of, after a couple days in Dublin, being able to navigate the central part of the city with ease! Even in London, while it is incredibly massive and busy, we had time to slow down and take a look around on our own two legs at our own pace.
What a wonderful adventure we had, over in the United Kingdom! To read up on my log of our daily goings and doings, head over to the journal! Meanwhile, feel free to peruse some of the shots I snapped while over in Europe!
